Foundations: Volume I and Foundations: Volume II
These two books help lay a biblical groundwork for the pillars upon which the Christian faith stands. The
teachings may be considered the basics of the faith, “Christianity 101.” Foundations: Volume I and II
are brief studies of some of the most important doctrines of the Bible, doctrines that are foundational to
Christianity. “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do” (Ps. 11:3)? “For other
foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ” (1 Cor. 3:11).
Jesus Christ is the Sure Foundation upon which a man can build his life. We are living in an age of great
spiritual deception and confusion. The Lord has given believers His Holy Spirit and His eternal word that
we may know and walk in the Truth. He would have His people to “earnestly contend for the faith
which was once delivered unto the saints.” As the body of Christ, we must know what we believe. “But
sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give a reason for the hope that is in you,
with meekness and fear” (1 Pet. 3:15).
Foundations: Volume I is divided into two sections:
1. Salvation
This section lays out the scriptures dealing with: man’s sin, the Savior, the new birth,
justification, how a person gets saved, the future home of both the lost and saved.
2. The Believer’s Walk
This section deals with how the Christian is called to live and grow in Christ after they are saved,
and includes topics such as: daily living in Christ, life in the Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit, faith,
prayer, the word of God, the Baptism in the Holy Ghost.
Foundations: Volume II covers other basic teachings of Christianity.
This book includes topics such as: the Trinity, creation, water baptism, the Lord’s supper,
Christian service, the rapture of the church, the second coming of Christ, God’s future
judgments for the lost and for the saved.
The Foundations books are excellent for both individual and group studies. I pray that the Lord
will use these books to strengthen your walk with Him. “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the
Lord, and in the power of His might” (Eph. 6:10).
